Media Release: Appointment of a new Chief Executive Officer

Penny Creamer - PMA Chief Executive Officer

The Play Matters Australia Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Penny Creamer as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective 25 September 2023.

Penny has over two decades of experience in the youth services and education sector, and has most recently served as Executive Director - First Nations and Child Rights Advocacy at the Queensland Family and Child Commission. She will work closely with the Board of Directors and Senior Leadership Team to grow the organisation and reach more communities.

As CEO, Penny will be responsible for providing strategic leadership, driving organisational growth, and furthering the mission of Play Matters Australia.

"We are thrilled to welcome Penny as the new CEO of Play Matters Australia," said Jane McVeigh, Chair of the Board of Directors.

"Her deep understanding of the importance of play and its impact on children's holistic development will be invaluable as we continue to grow our impact and reach more families,” Jane said.

The Play Matters Australia team looks forward to welcoming Penny to the organisation at the end of September.
