Can a school-aged child attend playgroup?

School-aged children at playgroup

For safety and to enhance the quality of the playgroup experience for all participants, school-aged children (children who are of school age, typically between 6 and 18 years old) are not allowed to attend standard playgroup sessions. The safety of all children is our top priority. This policy ensures that activities and materials are developmentally appropriate and safe for the intended age group.

School-aged children participating in PlayConnect+ or MyTime programs are welcomed as an inclusive exception to this rule. These programs are thoughtfully tailored to embrace the diverse needs of children with disabilities and their families, ensuring everyone has the opportunity to benefit from our services.  This inclusivity is crucial for their social and emotional development, helping them build confidence and a sense of belonging.
