What are the WH&S requirements for running a play experience?

WH&S requirements to consider when running a play experience

Play Matters has created a suite of tip sheets and policies to support facilitators with questions relating to health and safety at your play experience.

It is important to remember that if your play experience is running under our organisational model (you pay an affiliation fee), your workplace policies and procedures are to be followed.

Working with children checks, parent supervision, incident reporting, excursions, incursions, and event approvals, and collecting attendance are all required at your play experience. You will find forms, tip sheets, and policies related to these points on the facilitator portal.

All Play experiences cater to the diverse needs of their community. Thinking about these
factors before implementing any conditions at your play experience is important. Play
Matters recognises the right of member families to choose what is best for their families.
Play Matters does not recommend that play experiences exclude families from exercising their rights.
