About the theme

Play Matters Australia is committed to reducing our environmental footprint. Throughout November we will be promoting sustainable practices for families and the Early Childhood sector.

Incorporating sustainability into children’s everyday life helps them learn about respecting and caring for their environment. This can look like reusing items as much as you can, composting food scraps, conserving water, and recycling rubbish.

By participating in socially responsible practices, children develop skills such as critical reasoning, innovation, responsible citizenship, environmental stewardship, and a sense of belonging.
