Welcome to German Language Playgroup - Brisbane
Come and enjoy our FREE weekly playgroup, conducted entirely in German! Parents and children gather at the State Library of Queensland (at the The Corner) to spend a playful time together while experiencing the German language and culture. Families of all backgrounds and from all countries are warmly welcome - whether you speak German fluently or just beginning to learn! In our playgroup, we sing, rhyme, and read stories to immerse the children in the world of German tales. Afterwards, the little ones can make new friends and unleash their creativity during free playtime. The entire playgroup is held in German to promote language development and introduce children to German culture in a playful way. We look forward to welcoming you and your children to our next playgroup!

experiences
Playgroup is for everyone. A regular meeting of families with their children aged 0-5, often with set up activities and invitations to play and families to connect. There are playgroups run by community (often volunteer-led), organisations (like schools) and specialist groups too, all supported by Play Matters.
These playgroups celebrate diversity through play-based activities, such as stories, songs, games and everyday play experiences, while supporting children to build identity, connection and a sense of belonging, and helping families connect with their culture and community. Families with an interest in connecting with culture are welcome to attend.
These groups create a supportive space where families can connect, share knowledge and experiences, and engage in play that reflects their unique needs and interests.
