Volunteer Facilitator (Community Playgroups Play Matters Sunshine Coast)

Mons, Sunshine Coast

Time required: 2-3 hours each Friday morning during school terms from 9:30am to 11:30am

Play Matters Sunshine Coast operate playgroups from the Hub location five days a week and are looking for Volunteer Facilitators to help coordinate these groups throughout the week. You do not need to be available every day, please nominate what days/times you would be available in your application.

You will work with the other playgroup facilitators and the playgroup families to arrange activities for children 0-5yrs and create a welcoming, fun and safe environment. 

Regular tasks for volunteer facilitators include: 
- setting up the venue ready for play
- welcoming families 
- organising play experiences for the weekly sessions 
- liaising between playgroup families and Play Matters Australia 
- ensuring the playgroup environment and culture is safe, fun and inclusive. 

Play Matters Australia provides the following volunteer support: 
- Assistance to complete a Working with Children Check 
- Mentoring and guidance from Play Matters staff 
- Access to a digital portal with online training and resources  
- Career development opportunities 
- Statements of Service

Volunteer Facilitator (Hola Spanish Playgroup)

Fitzgibbon, Brisbane

Time required: 2-3 hours each Friday morning during school terms from 9:00am to 12 noon.

Hola Spanish Playgroup held at the Fitzgibbon Community Centre and is looking for a new Volunteer Facilitator to help coordinate their group on Friday mornings. This is a playgroup primarily for Spanish speaking families, but we welcome applicants that may not be Spanish speaking, but have an interest in Spanish culture.

You will work with the other playgroup facilitators and the playgroup families to arrange activities for children 0-5yrs and create a welcoming, fun and safe environment. 

Regular tasks for volunteer facilitators include: 
- opening/closing the venue 
- welcoming families 
- organising play experiences for the weekly sessions 
- liaising between playgroup families and Play Matters Australia 
- ensuring the playgroup environment and culture is safe, fun and inclusive. 

Play Matters Australia provides the following volunteer support: 
- Assistance to complete a Working with Children Check 
- Mentoring and guidance from Play Matters staff

Volunteer Facilitator (Northern Beaches Playgroup)

Kewarra Beach, Cairns

Time required: 2-3 hours each Monday morning during school terms from 9:30am to 11:30am. 

Northern Beaches Playgroup at Kewarra Beach is looking for a new Volunteer Facilitator to help coordinate their group on Monday mornings at the Kewarra Beach Community Hall. You will work with the other playgroup facilitators and the playgroup families to arrange activities for children 0-5yrs and create a welcoming, fun and safe environment. 

Regular tasks for volunteer facilitators include: 
- opening/closing the venue 
- welcoming families 
- organising play experiences for the weekly sessions 
- liaising between playgroup families and Play Matters Australia 
- ensuring the playgroup environment and culture is safe, fun and inclusive.

Time required: 2-3 hours each Wednesday morning during school terms from 9am to 12 noon.
