Overview
Play is for everyone! It is how we learn and grow. Playgroups provide a safe place for families to play, make new friends, and have fun.
We have three levels of support available for families with a child with a disability, developmental delay, or special needs:
- Play expert facilitated playgroups for children with a disability or developmental delay, such as PlayConnect
- Play expert facilitated playgroups with a focus on inclusion for children with and without a disability or developmental delay, such as PALS (Play and Learn Supported)
- Support to access mainstream playgroups through programs such as Active Inclusion and PlayTogether

PlayConnect
PlayConnect Playgroups are designed for families of children aged 0-6 years who have unique needs associated with having Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or developmental delay in communication, behaviour, or social skills. A confirmed diagnosis is not required.
PlayConnect is a welcoming service and a great way for families to connect with others, share knowledge and experiences, and make friends in a respectful, understanding, and fun environment.
Fostering Inclusion
Play Matters Australia delivers three playgroup programs that support families that have children with disability or developmental delay, to connect with mainstream families and playgroups:
