Welcome to Dunwich State School Play Stars Baby Playgroup
Dunwich State School Baby Playgroup is a Play Matters facilitated baby playgroup which meets every Friday during school terms. Baby playgroup is a time for you and your child to interact, learn and grow together. It also gives new parents a chance to meet other parents in the community, share ideas and discuss challenges in a safe and welcoming environment, without judgement. We meet at the KindyLinQ room from 10-11.30am, but don’t worry if you are running late, we know what it is like leaving the house with a baby! experiences
Playgroup is for everyone. A regular meeting of families with their children aged 0-5, often with set up activities and invitations to play and families to connect. There are playgroups run by community (often volunteer-led), organisations (like schools) and specialist groups too, all supported by Play Matters.
Specific playgroup for the early stages of parenting - baby playgroups (0 - 12 months of age) are for families to connect and share experiences, build friendships and community.
School readiness involves developing key skills in the transition to formal schooling. Activities focus on empowering families to be involved in learning and building key physical, social, emotional, cognitive, and communication skills to support children entering school.
