Welcome to Grantham State School Playgroup
Grantham Playgroup invites parents to come along for a morning of art and craft activities for children to enjoy. Our playgroup caters for children aged from 0-5 years. During play children make decisions, solve problems, develop thinking and communicate and develop a positive sense of themselves. Types of play which we regularly have for the children to play with are; Manipulative—doing puzzles, making necklaces or constructions. Exploratory—using blocks to build with. Imaginative play with our dress ups and home corner. Physical— playing with hoops, throwing bean bags, balancing, bouncing balls and running. Come along for a tea of coffee and a chat with other parents. Hope to see you there.

experiences
Playgroup is for everyone. A regular meeting of families with their children aged 0-5, often with set up activities and invitations to play and families to connect. There are playgroups run by community (often volunteer-led), organisations (like schools) and specialist groups too, all supported by Play Matters.
School readiness involves developing key skills in the transition to formal schooling. Activities focus on empowering families to be involved in learning and building key physical, social, emotional, cognitive, and communication skills to support children entering school.
