Our goal is to enjoy Friday mornings together while helping our kids learn and maintain Spanish through play. It’s also a great chance for parents and carers to connect and support our community. ✨ What’s included: Spanish language fun through play, songs, and games A relaxed, welcoming environment for families Morning tea for adults A warm, supportive community 🧢 What to bring: A hat and sunscreen for your child Morning tea for your little one 💛 Cost: $2 per family (required) This small fee helps us purchase toys, craft supplies, and other resources to keep the group running smoothly. Types of play
experiences
Playgroup is for everyone. A regular meeting of families with their children aged 0-5, often with set up activities and invitations to play and families to connect. There are playgroups run by community (often volunteer-led), organisations (like schools) and specialist groups too, all supported by Play Matters.
These playgroups celebrate diversity through play-based activities, such as stories, songs, games and everyday play experiences, while supporting children to build identity, connection and a sense of belonging, and helping families connect with their culture and community. Families with an interest in connecting with culture are welcome to attend.
These groups create a supportive space where families can connect, share knowledge and experiences, and engage in play that reflects their unique needs and interests.
