Welcome to Hola Spanish Play Cairns
Hola familias! Ven a jugar y aprender en nuestro playgroup de español! Come along to our Spanish playgroup open to all cultures and families around Cairns. We will celebrate the Spanish culture and language through play, song, books, games and food. You are welcome to immerse yourself into the Spanish and South American culture, share your culture and language and meet like-minded people from all over the world. This volunteer led playgroup is run by Spanish speaking mums with their own children.

Types of play

Playgroup is for everyone. A regular meeting of families with their children aged 0-5, often with set up activities and invitations to play and families to connect. There are playgroups run by community (often volunteer-led), organisations (like schools) and specialist groups too, all supported by Play Matters.
These playgroups celebrate diversity through play-based activities, such as stories, songs, games and everyday play experiences, while supporting children to build identity, connection and a sense of belonging, and helping families connect with their culture and community. Families with an interest in connecting with culture are welcome to attend.
These groups create a supportive space where families can connect, share knowledge and experiences, and engage in play that reflects their unique needs and interests.
