Welcome to Chevallum State School Playgroup
Come along to our relaxed and friendly playgroup. Our playgroup caters to all ages. It is also a great opportunity for parents with children who will be attending Chevallum or interested in learning more about the school, to come and chat with other parents while your children follow their own play interests and make new friends. There are range of different play spaces to choose from, both in and outdoors. We run during school term and we would love to see you there!

Types of play
experiences
Playgroup is for everyone. A regular meeting of families with their children aged 0-5, often with set up activities and invitations to play and families to connect. There are playgroups run by community (often volunteer-led), organisations (like schools) and specialist groups too, all supported by Play Matters.
School readiness involves developing key skills in the transition to formal schooling. Activities focus on empowering families to be involved in learning and building key physical, social, emotional, cognitive, and communication skills to support children entering school.
