Welcome to Gundanoos Playgroup at Blackwater North State School - The Home of Play! Join us every Monday morning during the school term from 9:00am until 10:45am in the Early Learning Centre, William St Blackwater. Gundanoos welcomes little learners from birth to 5 year their parents ,grandparents and caregivers to connect ,play and learn together in a warm, welcoming environment. Playing together on Ghungalu Country ,we celebrate a strong sense of belonging, friendship and community. Through play - based learning, children explore sensory play, creative arts and crafts experiences, imaginative play and engaging activities that support their development. Our sessions support little learners build lifelong skills including language and communication, fine and gross motor development, confidence, curiosity and social connections all while creating special memories. Come along to make new friends, discover the joy of learning through play and be a part of a caring community where children play ,learn grow and thrive. Tea and coffee available for parents. Our Gundanoos gang of little learners will need to bring a hat water ,water bottle and lunchbox with snacks . Don't forget to stay for our Shared Storytime and Rhyme and Wriggle from 10.30am. Types of play

Playgroup is for everyone. A regular meeting of families with their children aged 0-5, often with set up activities and invitations to play and families to connect. There are playgroups run by community (often volunteer-led), organisations (like schools) and specialist groups too, all supported by Play Matters.
Specific playgroup for the early stages of parenting - baby playgroups (0 - 12 months of age) are for families to connect and share experiences, build friendships and community.
Often run in partnership with a First Nations service or organisation, these playgroups are culturally safe spaces to connect for both Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people's and those interested in making connections.
Groups where the young and the young at heart come together to build relationships through play. These sessions take place in an aged care facility, or in a community setting, such as a grandparent's playgroup.
These groups create a supportive space where families can connect, share knowledge and experiences, and engage in play that reflects their unique needs and interests.
