Welcome to Mount Nebo State School Playgroup
Our Mount Nebo State School Playgroup provides a welcoming and engaging space for children aged 0–5 years and their families to connect, play and learn together. Through hands-on activities, stories, outdoor play and exploration, children build confidence and develop important early learning skills while forming friendships within our school community. We look forward to welcoming local families each week and supporting children on their journey towards starting school.

Types of play
experiences
Playgroup is for everyone. A regular meeting of families with their children aged 0-5, often with set up activities and invitations to play and families to connect. There are playgroups run by community (often volunteer-led), organisations (like schools) and specialist groups too, all supported by Play Matters.
School readiness involves developing key skills in the transition to formal schooling. Activities focus on empowering families to be involved in learning and building key physical, social, emotional, cognitive, and communication skills to support children entering school.
