Welcome to Allenstown State School Community Playgroup
Come along for a fun, friendly and relaxed morning together. At our playgroup we have a mix of organised activities and free play for children. It is a great place to make new friends, play, learn new things, and become part of a community. Tea and coffee are provided for parents/carers, but please bring your own snacks. We meet during the school term on Wednesdays 8:45am to 10:45am in I Block. All Welcome.

Playgroup is for everyone. A regular meeting of families with their children aged 0-5, often with set up activities and invitations to play and families to connect. There are playgroups run by community (often volunteer-led), organisations (like schools) and specialist groups too, all supported by Play Matters.
School readiness involves developing key skills in the transition to formal schooling. Activities focus on empowering families to be involved in learning and building key physical, social, emotional, cognitive, and communication skills to support children entering school.
