Welcome to Pine Rivers Community Playgroup (Glenwood)

Need somewhere relaxed to hang out where kids can be kids and grown-ups can be real humans? You’ve found it! Pine Rivers Community Playgroup is an inclusive, low-key and welcoming playgroup for children aged 0–5 and their carers. We proudly welcome: - Parents, grandparents & carers - Foster & kinship families - Same-sex families - Bilingual & multicultural families - Kids and carers with disabilities What happens here? Honestly, we like to go with the flow! We offer: - Relaxed play for the kids - No structured routines (like story time) - Kids explore their interests - Grown-ups can connect or quietly recharge - Stay for the whole session or just pop in! Our sessions are facilitated by volunteer mums who get it. We’re here to share your best days, and here for you on your worst. No judgement. No agendas. No cliques. The group meets from 9:30am to 11:30am: - Tuesdays at Glenwood Community Centre, 43 Glasshouse Circuit, Kallangur. - Fridays at Encircle Kallangur, 51 Marsden Road, Kallangur We meet all year around including during school holidays (except on public holidays). We offer a 10 visit pass for $30 (per family) which helps us to maintain our toy collection, arrange craft activities and other fun events. We are a PlayMatters registered community playgroup. New members will need to become Playgroup Queensland members by their third visit, as this provides insurance coverage for members and their children. Types of experience

Play Experience
A regular meeting of parents and carers with their children aged birth to 5, aimed at fostering the bonds essential for child development, parental confidence, community cohesion, and a smooth transition to school. There are volunteer-led, organisation-based, specialist, and facilitated playgroups supported by Play Matters.
Play Stars
Facilitated playgroup sessions with an explicit focus on babies aged from birth to 12 months old, proudly supported by the Queensland Government.
Additional Support
Targeted support for children who present with a range of developmental delays and disabilities, including children who are suspected of having Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Events
A limited time offering delivered outside of normal activities or programs. This includes pop-ups, showcases and community events.
School-readiness
Programs that build children’s social and emotional skills as they transition to formal schooling.
Professional Development
A formal learning opportunity for professionals in the early childhood, education, and allied health sectors.
Parenting Support
Programs with a more targeted focus on parent/carer support including, but not limited to, peer support and capacity building.
Sing&Grow
Evidence-based music therapy intervention for children and families, delivered by Registered Music Therapists.
Intergenerational
Groups where the young and the young at heart come together to build relationships through play. These sessions take place in an aged care facility, or in a community setting, such as a grandparent's playgroup.
