Cyclone Alfred
Tropical Cyclone Alfred is currently a Category 2 system located northeast of Brisbane, Australia. Forecasts indicate that Alfred may make landfall between Bundaberg and northern New South Wales on Thursday or Friday, potentially impacting the densely populated Brisbane area. This event is significant, as cyclones rarely affect this region, with the last notable occurrence near Brisbane dating back to 1990.
Residents are advised to prepare emergency kits, secure loose items, and stay informed through official channels.
