Workshop: Safe Play Matters
All children and young people have a right to feel safe and to be safe at all times. PMA will not tolerate any abuse or neglect of children or young people involved with our programs.
At Play Matters Australia, the safety and cultural wellbeing of every child is core to who we are. As part of strengthening our commitment to deepen our understanding and everyday application of the Child Safe Standards we invite families to join us for an important, one hour online sessions exploring "What Families Need to Know About Child Safeguarding".
The session will be kicked off by Penny Creamer, CEO Play Matters Australia and lead by Sarah Lim (BBSafe) with Jacquie and Cecelia (Connecting the Dots Through Culture) doing an Acknowledgment of Country.
The session will:
- Outline Play Matters Australia’s child safeguarding approach, including the steps it is taking to implement Queensland’s Child Safe Standards.
- Set out what children and families should expect from an organisation which prioritises child safeguarding.
- Learn what to do if you have any concerns or issues.
